  • Bachelor of Education, Elementary Education, University of Hawaii at Manoa, 1996
  • Master of Education, Leadership in the Asian/Pacific Regions, University of Hawaii at Manoa, 2004
  • Specialized training in Spalding Phonics and Orton-Gillingham Phonics
  • Twenty-three years teaching experience in Hawai`i and California's public and private sectors
  • Six years administrative experience in Adventist education
  • Professional and Administrative Teaching Credentials, Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists
  • Married to Pastor Tim Nelson, of Kaneohe, Hau`ula and Wailoa Adventist Churches
  • Mother of two beautiful daughters, Madison and Sophia
  • Enjoy playing volleyball and canoe paddling
  • Enjoy working with students, parents and teachers in "A Journey to Excellence"
