Taskforce Positions

Each school year Hawaiian Mission Academy hires four single collegiate young people to serve as deans in our school dormitory. What seems to work best are university students who have completed a minimum of two years of college.

          ►  2 Girl's Deans
          ►  2 Boy's Deans

In addition to having responsibility for the dormitory program, these young people serve as tutors, substitute teachers, office support staff, as well as, assist in the campus cafeteria program. In short, they help the school administration in multiple tasks or assignments where they are needed most.

For the 2008-09 school year a monthly stipend (before taxes) of $450.00 will be paid. They will be given emergency medical insurance coverage. In addition, all candidates will receive free room & board, a private room, and free internet access in their room. All personal travel expenses during their stay in Hawaii will be the responsibility of the Taskforce Dean.

A contract will be signed by each Taskforce Dean selected by the school administration. The contract is for a commitment of an entire school year from the 2nd week of August to the second week of June. Hawaiian Mission Academy will pay for the roundtrip airfare of the Taskforce Dean from a westcoast airport to Honolulu, Hawaii. However, if the candidate fails to fulfill the one year contract or is dismissed by the administration, they are responsible for the entire roundtrip airfare expense.
