In light of the media and press surrounding our school, Hawaiian Mission Academy, I want to thank you for the extreme privilege it is to have your student at our school. All of us at HMA are dedicated to offering a quality Adventist Christian education in a safe environment for our students.

As students, parents, alumni, and friends of HMA, I think it is important for you to know that after Brian Lindberg’s contract with HMA ended in 2009 the school was made aware of allegations of possible criminal behavior involving a student that may have occurred while he was employed by the school. Upon learning of the allegations, the school promptly reported the matter to both the Honolulu Police Department and Child Welfare Services. The school has had no involvement in the investigations since 2009.
